Cork Airport obliges all service providers at the airport to make their facilities user-friendly for any passengers with a need for special assistance so that their journey may be enjoyable and manageable. Cork Airport has continued to update and improve the facilities it provides for passengers with special needs throughout the airport. Specially adapted facilities include telephones, toilets and lifts, which are all fitted with Braille buttons.Cork Airport is a customer service oriented organisation and if you need any special assistance whilst at Cork Airport please do not hesitate to contact any employee. If you have a special need and require assistance while travelling, please bear these points in mind before booking your flight:

  • Compare arrangements offered by different airlines before making your booking
  • Check whether the cost of any special assistance or services is included in the price of your flight
  • Inform the airline of your particular needs at the time of booking
  • Remind the airline staff of your needs at check-inĀ· Remember that there can often be long distances to walk within airports and some assistance may be needed on arrival as well as departure 

Special Parking


Reserved easy access car parking is available on the ground floor of the multi-storey car park and a covered walkway takes you directly to the entrance of the Terminal Building. Passengers who may require assistance from the car park can contact our customer service staff who will be happy to assist.Facilities for  set down and pick-up  are available for people with disabilities at the entrances to our Arrivals and Departures concourses.

Airport Facilities


The Terminal Building at Cork Airport is easily accessible. Specially adapted facilities include toilets, lifts, escalators, telephones, vending machines and signage. ToiletsThere are toilet facilities throughout the Airport building for people with disabilities. All standard and disabled facilities are clearly indicated by directional and overhead signage. Lifts/EscalatorsThere are ample lifts and escalators located throughout the terminal building. Clear directional signage points the way to these. All lifts have directional inbuilt voiceovers and braille control buttons.Telephone & Snack Vending Machine FacilitiesLow-level coin, credit card telephones and snack vending machines are located throughout the Terminal Building to facilitate passengers in wheelchairs.Facilities for Partially SightedGuide dogs and hearing dogs are the only dogs permitted in the terminal building.The airport directional and information signage is clearly placed, well lit and uses optimum colour contrast to ensure everyone can read them correctly.Security CheckAll passengers must pass through the security check before reaching the departures lounge. Such a search may be carried out by hand or by using hand-held detectors. If required, a private search area away from the main area can be provided.
