Your safety and security is a priority for Cork Airport. When travelling by plane you will be required to go through Passenger Security Screening for a security check. This security check is related to what you are allowed to take with you on board an aircraft.
Both your carry-on baggage and check-in baggage will be checked by means of detection equipment and may also be subject to a hand search. This is to ensure that you are not carrying any potentially dangerous substances or items that could pose a risk to the passengers and crew or to the security and safety of the aircraft.
Passengers are advised to carry just one piece of hand baggage. Sharp objects should be removed from carry-on baggage and placed in checked-in baggage.
Before departing for the airport, please check your flight is on time and confirm what time your airline requires you to check in. Cork Airport recommends you arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before your scheduled flight departs.
Please be patient if you have to queue at the check-in desks, security control, or at the boarding gate - the security checks we employ as you pass through the airport ensure the safety of all our passengers.
