Thursday, March 15th, 2007.  Management and staff at Cork Airport are gearing up for a busy St. Patrick’s Bank Holiday weekend with approximately 40,000 passengers expected to use the Airport between Thursday, March 15th and Monday, March 19th.

“With St. Patrick’s Day falling on a weekend this year, we are expecting the Airport to be extremely busy,” said Kevin Cullinane, Marketing Manager, Cork Airport.  “Indeed, with the busy summer season fast approaching and summer schedules due to commence at the end of this month, we are already seeing a marked increase in passenger traffic through the Airport,” concluded Mr. Cullinane.

Intending passengers are reminded that the airlines’ summer schedules are due to begin towards the end of this month.  This will coincide with the commencement of a number of new routes.  For example, Aer Lingus will begin a new route to Manchester on March 25th.  Further information and booking details are available at www.aerlingus.com

Eastern European airline, Centralwings will begin a new service to Warsaw on March 29th.  This new service complements Centralwings’ existing services to Krakow and Wroclaw.  Further information and booking details are available at www.centralwings.com
