Cork Airport's Summer 2007 timetable presents an increasing number of destinations to fly to this year. Analytically, in the Summer 2007 Timetable, 27 airlines will be operating  850 weekly flights, connecting Cork to 51 international destinations (53 airports) in 18 countries.  The summer timetable operates from March 25th to October 27th this year.

In the domestic sector, scheduled services out of Cork also present an increase year-on-year, with 12 flights daily to Dublin with Aer Arann and Ryanair.

NEW "ARRIVALS"

Cork Airport welcomes Air Southwest this summer operating a new scheduled service to Newquay in Cornwall from May 4th.

Aer Lingus introduces a new year round service to Manchester (England) and will fly to Faro (Portugal) and Nice (France) this summer in addition to their other 12 year round destinations (Alicante, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Birmingham, London Heathrow, Madrid, Malaga, Paris, Prague, Rome and Warsaw).

Centralwings has introduced a new year round service direct to Warsaw (Poland).

Aer Arann will operate a scheduled service this summer to Jersey in the Channel Islands. French connections are reintroduced to Lorient and Nantes again this summer courtesy of Aer Arann.

Cork Airport's summer sun charter network is expanded with the addition of Corfu with Budget Travel.

ADDITIONAL FREQUENCY ADDED TO DESTINATIONS ALREADY SERVED BY CORK AIRPORT:

Ryanair have increased to 5 the number of times they fly from Cork to Dublin, Monday to Friday inclusive with 4 flights operating Saturdays and Sundays .

Aer Lingus has added an additional daily flight from Cork to London Heathrow this summer.

Moreover, during the 2007 Summer Period, the following airlines have added frequencies to relatively new destinations to their scheduled services: Centralwings to Krakow and Wroclaw in Poland; Jet2.com to Newcastle (England); Malev Hungarian Airlines now part of the One World Alliance to Budapest (Hungary) as well as low cost carriers Wizz Air to Gdansk and Katowice in Poland.

The ever increasing presence of low fare airlines at Cork Airport is evident in 2007 Summer Timetable. The low cost market presents the strongest development at Cork Airport during the last 5 years, with total passenger numbers exceeding 3 million for the first time ever last year. This point is emphasised with the fact that Cork will be connected to 28 European destinations by 7 low cost airlines this summer, compared with only one low cost carrier in 2002.

For Summer 2007, Cork Airport's top international routes are:

London  with  62 scheduled weekly frequencies, followed by
Birmingham  with 13 scheduled weekly services
Amsterdam  with  11  scheduled weekly services
Paris with a daily service
Liverpool with a daily service

The top domestic routes are Dublin with 74 flights weekly and Galway with 10 flights weekly.
