Conor Healy, Cork Chamber Chief Executive today announced the launch of a business travel survey, in which Cork Airport and Cork Chamber have joined forces to assess the demand for air services to the UK, Continental Europe and the East Coast of the United States.
Conor Healy said ”connectivity is a critical factor for regional economic development. New and improved services will be of huge benefit to businesses in the region, but will also attract greater numbers of customers to Ireland’s principal international gateway to the South of Ireland. The results of this survey will be fundamental in meeting the real needs of businesses in the region”.
Mr Kevin Cullinane, Marketing Manager, Cork Airport stated that “market access is recognised as a key determinant of the continued growth of the Irish economy. As a result, the expansion and development of the route network at Cork Airport has been important to the ongoing growth of the region’s economic base and will continue to do so”.
Mr. Healy concluded by urging all companies to complete the survey which is available on the Chamber website, www.corkchamber.ie as responses will be used to help enhance direct air services from Cork Airport.
