Wednesday, August 29th, 2007. Low-fare airline, Wizz Air today announced a massive summer sale on 80% of its route network. Passengers will be able to book flights from as little as €19.99 (all inclusive) on many of the airline’s routes. The sale continues until next Wednesday, September 5th.
John Stephenson, Chief Commercial Officer, Wizz Air, said: “It is my great pleasure to announce this fantastic sale. It has become our policy to introduce a sale at the end of the summer season. We have included 80% of our route network in the sale and I am confident that people will be able to find a promotional fare that suits them”.
Wizz Air celebrated its first anniversary of operations from Cork Airport last month. The airline’s first flight from Cork took off on July 14th, 2006, to Katowice in Poland. The airline subsequently added a service to Gdansk and currently operates a three times weekly service to Katowice and Gdansk. The airline has carried over 70,000 passengers between Cork and Poland (Gdansk and Katowice) since it commenced operations in July 2006.
