Friday, December 7th, 2007. Ski enthusiasts taking part in the 2008 Topflight/Today FM Ski Trip will travel from Cork to Bad Gastein in Austria on January 26th next, following a highly successful trip there in January of this year.
The Topflight/Today FM Ski Trip has been running now for an incredible nine years with the Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show. Last winter the trip had over 400 participants and is a fun filled week of ski and craic! Bad Gastein is a thermal spa town which also has a Casino as well as over 200 kms of top class piste. This means that the line up for the week for participants will include a full week’s skiing, with some challenges and ski guiding for the better skiers as well as events in the Casino and in the Spa. With Salzburg only 1.5 hours away, transfer time to the resort is short.
The trip is supported by the Ski Club of Ireland, who hosted a Ski Day on November 17th – with visiting ski instructors from Bad Gastein in attendance – as well as the Great Outdoors who are providing vouchers to everyone and discounts on all their ski gear.
