The Reflecting Through Art project 2008 was launched by John Creedon of RTE on Thursday March 6th at Cork Airport. The exhibition will remain in situ for five weeks before moving to various venues throughout Cork City and County.

Reflecting Through Art is an exhibition under the auspices of Cork Mental Health Foundation and began in 1996. Open to anyone using the mental health services the project aims to encourage creative activity, raise the profile of the artists, increase awareness of talents and to use art as a bridge between artists and the wider community.

Cork Mental Health Foundation is a voluntary body. Its aims are to promote positive mental health and create an awareness and understanding of mental health issues. Amongst other projects it facilitates are a mental health project for post primary schools and it organizes the Cork heats of the National Public Speaking Competition for post primary schools.
