Things to do here
Edinburgh's unique architecture and love of the arts are well-known. A UNESCO world heritage site, the city's August Fringe festival is one of the largest arts festivals in the world. The city is divided into the narrow cobbled streets of the medieval Old Town and the grand Georgian houses of the New Town. Dividing the two is Princes Street Gardens which comes alive during the summer as the city’s residents and visitors take to the park to relax and enjoy the sunshine. A walk up the royal mile from the Palace of Holyroodhouse to Edinburgh Castle is a must for any visitor.
