As part of an ongoing National Transport Authority (NTA) review of public transport services in Cork, Bus Éireann is pleased to announce enhancements to Bus routes serving Cork Airport and Kinsale.
Route 226A Kent Station – Bus Station - Cork Airport
The new timetable for Route 226A will provide customers with a half hourly service from Kent Station via Bus Station to Cork Airport / Airport Business Park, the first Bus departs Parnell Place, Bus Station at 05:05 and the last bus departing Cork Airport will be 00:30.
Route 226 Kent Station – Bus Station – Cork Airport/Business Park - Kinsale
Route 226 will replace the current Route 249 timetable from Cork (Bus Station) to Kinsale. Route 226 will operate from Train Station – Bus Station - Cork Airport / Airport Business Park - Riverstick – Belgooly – Kinsale, giving customers an hourly service from Cork City / Cork Airport to Kinsale.
The first departure from Cork City (Monday to Saturday) will be 0600, the last bus departing Cork City will be 2200, (on Sunday the first bus will depart at 0700).
The first departure from Kinsale (Monday to Saturday) will be 0700 and the last bus departing Kinsale will be 2300, (on Sunday the first bus will depart Kinsale at 0800).
The newly improved Route 226/226A will provide 62 services daily between Cork City and Cork Airport, giving customers a wider choice of services to avail of and connecting the 3 main Transport Hubs in Cork, (Bus Station, Train Station and Cork Airport). Route 226 gives customers travelling to Kinsale a more frequent service and additional late services from Kinsale.
