The port city of Valencia as a Mediterranean capital lies on Spain’s south-eastern coast, where the Turia River meets the sea. Its prime beach location and gorgeous Mediterranean weather make the third-largest city in Spain a perfect holiday destination. Valencia is famous for the City of Arts and Science, the cathedral, the old town, and central market and being the birthplace of paella. Valencia is also popular for its peculiar museums and quirky festivals. For the more adventurous, take a bus to the beautiful Albufera National Park which is only a short 45-minute bus ride away.
