Things to do here

Inside the walls of this medieval city, the pedestrianised Old Town is buzzing with life. From historic churches and designer shops, cosy restaurants and modern galleries, to the ancient city wall itself which has withstood centuries of turmoil, the old Croatian city of Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the most beautiful and unique cities on the Mediterranean coast.

To Eat

  1. Restaurant Amfora - An excellent choice for meat and fish lovers. Try the house style beef cheek ‘pasticada’ cooked for 48 hours. All the pastas and breads are freshly prepared onsite in the kitchen. The wines and olive oils are mainly local.

  2. Porat - Located on the busy Gruz Harbour, the restaurant receives a fresh supply of seafood from the fishing boats which dock here each evening, which is prepared and on the table within the hour. Also serves some excellent meat dishes and a vegetarian set-menu, from as little as €20 per person.
