This affluent city is also an ideal starting point to visit stunning nearby natural landmarks such as the Rhine Falls and Mount Rigi. The famously picturesque Principality of Liechtenstein is also less than two hours away.

Mount Pilatus Tour

Less than an hour’s drive from Zürich, but also reachable by train and bus, the summit of this mountain, which sits between Lake Lucerne, Lake Zug and Lake Lauerz can be reached using the world’s steepest cog railway. Those interested in hiking to the top should plan on at least a four hour walk. Stunning views await all those who reach the summit.

Liechtenstein Tour

Less than two hours from Zürich lies the small German speaking Principality of Liechtenstein. Only 25km in length and 160 sq km in total, this constitutional monarchy is known for its beautiful alpine landscape dotted with castles and pretty villages. Vaduz, its capital, sits alongside the Rhine, and is home to around 5,000 people.
